Job Role

We're looking for a Distribution Network Development Professional to join our team at National Grid Electricity Distribution (NGED). As a key member of our Major Projects team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our 132kV electricity network, including overhead lines, underground cables, and substations.

The role involves working on site across our dedicated distribution licence area, collaborating with colleagues and contractors to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget. You will also be required to develop project-related network risk, procure and manage contractors, and perform Senior Authorised Person (SAP) duties.

What You'll Get

We offer a competitive starting salary of £36,090, based on the location of Exeter, Devon, or Cornwall. You'll also receive a range of benefits, including:

  • A £2,500 bonus upon successful completion of the graduate programme
  • 26 days holiday
  • £2,800 payment on successful completion of the programme
  • Up to £250 per month accommodation allowance during rotations
Eligibility

To be eligible for this role, you must have a minimum 2:2 degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. A full valid UK driving license and flexibility to travel are also essential.
