Job Summary:

Galliford Try Holdings plc is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to oversee commercial aspects of projects. The successful candidate will form contract budgets, monitor cashflows, and procure subcontractors.

About the Role:

  • You will have extensive experience in residential and commercial sectors using differing construction systems.
  • A proven track record of managing commercial staff across multiple sites is essential.
  • You should possess sound contract knowledge and experience in various subcontract types.
  • Strong leadership qualities, awareness of Health and Safety responsibilities, and adherence to company policies are necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Form contract budgets from tender information, calculating total profit/loss forecasts.
  2. Monitor budgets, updating budget for works in progress.
  3. Provide interim cost and value reconciliation, monitoring cashflows for projects on Oracle.
  4. Prepare and agree interim Applications for Payment and Final Accounts, all aspects of measurement.
  5. Procure subcontractors, obtaining agreement on rates, measurements, and placing subcontract orders.
  6. Implement subcontract payment controls, evaluating contract works, variations, materials, contra charges, and claims.
  7. Maintain records of site progress, photographs, written records, marked-up drawings, and data collection, ensuring compliance with company procedures.

Salary: £72,500 per annum, depending on experience.
