Health and Care Assistant Role

Key Responsibilities: Education
- Provide tailored support to pupils with special needs, ensuring they can fully engage in learning activities.
- Assist with the management of the classroom environment and pupil behaviours.
- Support teachers and HLTAs with planning and delivering learning activities.
- Maintain accurate records of pupils' progress and responses to learning.
Key Responsibilities: Health
- Participate in training to develop medical competencies and implement this training to support pupils' needs.
- Help develop and implement health care plans.
- Assist with first aid and welfare tasks, such as attending to unwell pupils.
- Perform routine medical support under the supervision of nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities: Care
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of pupils during learning activities.
- Provide intimate care when required.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of Risk Assessments and Personal Care plans.
- Encourage positive behaviour and address conflicts in line with school policies, promoting responsibility among pupils.
Hours and Pay
- Working Hours: 9:00 AM to 3:15 PM, Monday to Friday.
- Commitment: Full availability is required for all five days.
- Pay: £97 per day.
- Contract: Temp-to-perm after 12 weeks.
