Cancer Pharmacist Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Pharmacist to join our Cancer Pharmacy team at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Pharmacist in Cancer, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality pharmaceutical care to adult cancer patients, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
Main Responsibilities- Provide clinical pharmacy services to adult cancer patients, including ward-based clinical pharmacy services and participation in multidisciplinary ward rounds.
- Participate in the development and implementation of treatment protocols and guidelines for the use of medicines within the clinical area.
- Contribute to the planning and efficient coordination of clinical pharmacy initiatives, including discharge planning and prescribing protocols.
- Participate in the development and maintenance of the computerized chemotherapy prescribing system (Aria) across the Oncology & Haematology Directorate.
- Be involved in the preparation of new drug submissions for the Trust Medicines Management and Therapeutics Committee with Consultant colleagues.
- Support the implementation and management of licensed gene therapy products and ensure the multidisciplinary team follows appropriate procedures for handling gene therapy in the clinical setting.

Person Specification- Qualified to a degree level (4-year MPharm or equivalent) and Pharmacist registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Diploma/MSc in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent experience.
- Experience of working as a clinical pharmacist, with problem identification and solving skills, well-organized, and good time management.
- Good written and oral communication skills, ability to prioritize and manage time effectively, and good interpersonal skills.
- Experience of working in a multidisciplinary team, sensitivity, and tolerance, enthusiastic, and self-motivated.
