Job Title: Fire Extinguisher Service Technician

Morgan Fire Protection is seeking a qualified Fire Extinguisher Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining and servicing portable fire extinguishers, hose reels, and kitchen fire suppression systems for local, national, and key accounts.

Responsibilities:

  • Work in line with current standards and customer requirements
  • Plan and complete call visits within your designated region, ensuring maximum efficiency and best use of resources
  • Build professional and effective relationships with a wide client base
  • Be accountable for ensuring effective area planning to maximise travel time and time on customer premises
  • Carry out scheduled & reactive maintenance in a timely, efficient & cost-effective manner
  • Effectively communicate with our customers to ensure a good understanding of system/equipment status
  • Liaise with Service Administrators to ensure the needs of our customers are met
  • Be responsible for the management & security of vehicle stock, tools & equipment
  • Approach all training positively & complete all duties in a professional manner
  • Travel and some stop over is expected during the training period and busier months

Requirements:

  • Experience in fire extinguisher servicing, hold a qualification to prove competence and have good knowledge BS5306 parts 3 and 8
  • Technical background in the Mechanical Fire industry
  • Experience of front-line customer service
  • Previous experience of maintaining fire extinguishers is essential
  • Qualified to BAFE / FETA or equivalent
  • Ability to work unsupervised with the capability to problem solve
  • Flexibility to travel for work and training when required
  • Experience in other Mechanical Fire Systems would be advantageous
  • Full driving licence

We are a small and mostly regionally focussed business, however, we have the luxury and benefit of being part of a wider group of businesses within the Fire Protection, Security & Building Management Systems industry, allowing us to share best-practice, learning & development academies, Human Resource specialists and knowledge for constant improvement across the critical service industry.
