About the Role

At Morgan Fire Protection, we are seeking a highly skilled Fire Extinguisher Service Technician to join our team in the Kent region. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the servicing and maintenance of portable fire extinguishers, hose reels, and kitchen fire suppression systems for our local, national, and key account clients.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in the mechanical fire industry, with experience in fire extinguisher servicing and a qualification to prove competence. You will also possess excellent communication skills, be able to work unsupervised, and be able to problem-solve effectively.

Responsibilities
  • Servicing and maintaining portable fire extinguishers, hose reels, and kitchen fire suppression systems
  • Working in line with current standards and customer requirements
  • Planning and completing call visits within your designated region to ensure maximum efficiency and best use of resources
  • Building professional and effective relationships with a wide client base
  • Being accountable for ensuring effective area planning to maximise travel time and time on customer premises
  • Carrying out scheduled and reactive maintenance in a timely, efficient, and cost-effective manner
  • Effectively communicating with our customers to ensure a good understanding of system/equipment status
  • Liaising with Service Administrators to ensure the needs of our customers are met
  • Being responsible for the management and security of vehicle stock, tools, and equipment
  • Approaching all training positively and completing all duties in a professional manner
Requirements
  • Experience in fire extinguisher servicing and a qualification to prove competence
  • Technical background in the mechanical fire industry
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work unsupervised and problem-solve effectively
  • Flexibility to travel for work and training when required
  • Full driving licence
