About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Finance to join our team at Aila Recruitment | Certified B Corporation®. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day finance operations and providing financial insights and guidance to drive business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Head of Growth, Head of Sales and Head of Operations to gain a key understanding of the channels
  • Support with pricing strategies and promotional planning
  • Provide analysis and insights on sales channel performance to drive revenue, profitability, and efficiencies
  • Support the business in evaluating new opportunities
  • Ownership of the planning/budgeting/forecasting process, ensuring financial impacts of channel activities are understood
  • Manage and update the cash flow forecast
  • Develop and maintain the financial models
  • Lead the preparation of the month-end management accounts process, identifying variances to budget and forecast, understanding the underlying drivers along with supporting commentary and actionable insights
  • Prepare and review monthly accruals, prepayments, FAR and similar accounting entries
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a qualified commercial accountant with 2-3 years' post-qualification experience. Previous experience in a product/stock-based business is essential (preferably a consumer brand). Strong problem-solving skills and a commercially curious mindset are a must. Demonstrable business partnering experience with the ability to effectively communicate with non-finance business partners is also required.
