Senior Health and Safety Manager

Unite People is partnering with a key client to recruit a Senior Health and Safety Advisor for a major civil engineering project. The successful candidate will support the Lead Project Health and Safety Manager in ensuring the continued safety and health of personnel working on the project.
Key Responsibilities- Safeguard Project Delivery: Provide support to the project team in delivering the contract safely.
- Ensure Compliance: Ensure project compliance with statutory legislation, contractual requirements, and industry best practices.
- Risk Assessment and Safe Systems: Assist in preparing and reviewing risk assessments and safe systems of work.
- Culture Promotion: Actively promote behaviours key to a positive health, safety, and wellbeing culture.
- Inspection and Monitoring: Support and carry out inspection and monitoring activities, and effectively use arising data.
- Reporting and Dashboard: Compile and report monthly KPIs and maintain the project dashboard.
- Training and Induction: Participate in developing and presenting inductions and training as required, and mentor other project staff members.
- Incident Investigation: Assist in investigating accidents and incidents, and support the implementation of corrective actions.
- Minimum NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
- Demonstrated experience relevant to the role.
- Ability to influence project teams and key stakeholders.
- Understanding of Occupational Health.
