Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Estates and Health Manager to join our team at Teaching Vacancies. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the implementation of an estates strategy and managing all aspects of the Trust's properties upkeep, care, maintenance, security, health and safety, and facilities management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement an estates strategy to ensure the Trust's properties are well-maintained and secure.
- Manage all aspects of the Trust's properties upkeep, care, maintenance, security, health and safety, and facilities management.
- Coordinate and lead the Trust and schools in their buildings, securing a thorough understanding of the new build systems and best management practice of the estate.
- Work with external authorities, headteachers, business managers, and caretakers to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including health and safety legislation.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, professional advisors, and contractors to secure new opportunities and maintain refurbishments and other building projects.
Requirements:
- Expert knowledge of health and safety legislation and practice.
- Extensive knowledge of good estate management.
- Excellent proficiency in written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work with a range of stakeholders, including external authorities, headteachers, business managers, and caretakers.
