Job Title: Autism Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Autism Support Worker to join our team at a successful primary school in Huddersfield. The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and a proven track record of delivering effective 1-2-1 support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1-2-1 support to children with autism, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Support students with challenging behaviors, using positive reinforcement techniques and de-escalation strategies.
  • Contribute to small group work and intervention support, working collaboratively with teaching staff and other support workers.
Requirements:
  • Eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident.
  • Three months or more of experience in the country.
  • Overseas criminal clearance or willingness to apply.
  • Child Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply.
  • Previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
