Farmfoods HGV Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join our team at Farmfoods Monkspath Depot in Solihull. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet of HGV tractor units and trailers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and repair our fleet of vehicles in our on-site vehicle maintenance units.
  • Carry out inspections, repairs, and testing to diagnose faults and ensure vehicles are roadworthy.
  • Work in a professional and safe manner at all times, adhering to company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Level 3 City & Guilds Maintenance of Heavy Goods Vehicles (or equivalent) qualification.
  • Diagnostic equipment and fault tracing skills, resulting in first-time repair.
  • MOT preparation experience.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
  • LOLER experience and tail lift repair.
  • Multi-temperature trailer and fridge repair experience.
  • CE licence (desirable but not essential).

We offer a competitive hourly rate of £20.70 and a 4-on-4-off shift pattern working 8:00am - 8:00pm. If you are a motivated and skilled HGV Technician looking for a new challenge, please apply with your qualifications and experience.
