The UK's leading electricity distribution business, National Grid plc, is seeking talented individuals to join our apprenticeship programme as Power Networks Craftspersons. In this role, you will work with experienced professionals in the industry, learning the skills and knowledge required to become a skilled electrician.

As an apprentice, you will spend your first 12 weeks at one of our Training Centres, where you will be inducted onto the programme. Following this, you will progress to on-the-job training, working outdoors with underground cables, overhead lines, and substations that operate between 230 and 132,000 volts.

You will play a critical role in delivering heat, light, and power for homes and businesses across the Midlands, the Southwest of England, and South Wales. You will be responsible for constructing distribution substations, excavating, laying, and jointing cables, and terminating cables to plant.
