Simply Education Ltd are recruiting for a specialist SEMH provision in the Ashford area. They are currently looking for multiple teaching assistants, so if you have experience with SEN children, or you are looking to get into this area, we would love to hear from you.
Some of the children present challenging behavioural issues and social exclusion, and many have faced various forms of abuse and trauma. At the same time, these children may have other SEND statements such as ADHD and ASD. We are keen to hear from candidates who have worked in Secondary SEN/ASD provisions of Mainstream Schools or Special Schools.
You must be able to demonstrate clear communication skills and be able to build excellent rapport with both students and teachers. We are looking for people who can successfully manage challenging situations and provide students with an excellent opportunity for learning in order to set them up in the best possible way for the future.
Whilst it can be a challenging environment, it is also an extremely rewarding experience working to improve the lives of children who face a variety of challenges in their everyday lives.
Key Requirements:
• The ability to drive is essential for this role.
• Previous experience either working in provisions in mainstream schools or SEND Schools.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with children who have challenging behaviour and complex needs.
• Ability to work as part of a team and build relationships with students, teachers, and other staff members.
About the Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a specialist SEMH provision in the Ashford area. As a teaching assistant, you will work closely with the teaching staff to provide support to students with SEMH needs. You will be responsible for creating a safe and inclusive learning environment, supporting students with their academic and personal development, and contributing to the overall well-being of the students.
What We Offer:
• Competitive salary and benefits package.
• Opportunities for professional development and training.
• A supportive and collaborative work environment.
• The chance to make a real difference in the lives of children who face challenges in their everyday lives.
How to Apply:
If you are a motivated and caring individual who is passionate about working with children, please submit your application today. We look forward to hearing from you.
