Acute Mental Health Ward Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Moorland View, a 16-bed mixed adult acute ward based in North Devon. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of our mental health services.
About the RoleAs a Registered Nurse - Mental Health, you will be responsible for assessing care needs, developing, implementing, and evaluating individual care plans. You will also promote and improve the quality of service provided, manage the unit in the absence of the Ward Manager/Team Leader, and participate in the internal rotation system, including weekend working and nights.
Main Duties and Responsibilities- Assessment and Care Planning: Assess care needs, develop, implement, and evaluate individual care plans to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
- Quality Improvement: Promote and improve the quality of service provided, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care.
- Leadership and Management: Manage the unit in the absence of the Ward Manager/Team Leader, providing leadership and guidance to staff members.
- Internal Rotation: Participate in the internal rotation system, including weekend working and nights, to ensure a smooth and effective service.
We are looking for a Registered Nurse who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and is committed to ongoing professional development. You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. You will also be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
