About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Instrument Development Scientist to join our Research and Development team at Elementar UK Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing innovative analytical methods and cutting-edge instrumentation.

Your primary focus will be on ensuring that new methodologies meet rigorous performance standards and scientific accuracy. You will also be responsible for refining and optimising existing analytical methods to enhance performance, accuracy, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and test innovative analytical methods and instrumentation
  • Refine and optimise existing analytical methods to enhance performance, accuracy, and efficiency
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical challenges related to analytical instrumentation
  • Provide technical support and expertise to ensure seamless operation
  • Collaborate with application scientists and product managers to propose tailored solutions
  • Develop and document detailed process sequences, specifications, and work instructions
  • Assist in the creation of training and educational materials
Requirements

We are looking for a qualified and passionate individual with a degree or higher in natural or physical sciences or engineering. You should have hands-on experience in stable isotope analysis and proven expertise in method development and optimisation.

You will possess specialised knowledge in stable isotope analysis techniques, data analysis, statistics, and programming tools, along with strong technical and IT skills for instrument optimisation.
