Job Description: Equipment Maintenance Specialist

Location: Surrey, UK

Salary: Up to £26,000 per annum

Ross Care seeks an experienced Equipment Maintenance Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will deliver and collect wheelchairs, perform routine maintenance, and ensure all paperwork is completed accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering and collecting wheelchairs to and from service user's homes and NHS departments.
  • Servicing and repairing wheelchairs in the field, focusing on achieving a first-time fix whenever possible.
  • Completing all required paperwork, including job cards, to update the database accurately.
  • Ensuring the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as instructed and maintaining a clean and organized vehicle.
  • Participating in out-of-hours duties when scheduled and adhering to regulations governing the use of company vehicles.
  • Maintaining a high level of professionalism while interacting with customers and wearing the designated uniform and ID badge.
  • Effectively prioritizing tasks and referring to the line manager as needed.
  • Being responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of tools and equipment provided by the company.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Fully qualified engineer or technician with relevant experience
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of wheelchair maintenance and repair procedures
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing work priorities and environments
