Reed Finance Cambridge is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Leader to join their team as a part-time Finance Director. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and be able to provide strategic financial leadership and oversight of corporate services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the finance function, ensuring robust financial controls and adherence to financial policies. They will also provide strategic financial reporting and analysis to the Senior Management Team, Audit Committee, and Board.

The role offers a blend of on-site and remote working, fostering a culture that values work-life balance and collaborative engagement. The successful candidate will be expected to work one day each week from the Cambridge office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the finance function and ensure robust financial controls and adherence to financial policies.
  • Provide strategic financial reporting and analysis to the Senior Management Team, Audit Committee, and Board.
  • Develop and implement the organisation's financial strategy to optimise performance and growth.
  • Offer expert advice on financial risks and maintain key banking and financial relationships.
  • Facilitate compliance and best practice in the preparation of bids and commercial contracts.
  • Ensure the organisation's adherence to all relevant corporate legislation and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Recognised accountancy qualification: ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of financial accounting standards, corporate governance, and risk management.
  • Proficiency in managing corporate services functions, including IT and legal/company secretarial responsibilities.
  • Strategic and operational expertise, with a commercial mindset.
