We are seeking an exceptional Subject Specialist to join our team at Harris Academy Beulah Hill. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the improvement of teaching and learning in the subject area, ensuring high standards of achievement, and monitoring, evaluating, and reviewing standards and provision.
About Our SchoolHarris Academy Beulah Hill is a popular 11-19 academy that delivers a broad and challenging curriculum to all students in a calm and well-ordered environment. We have high expectations of all members of the school community, reflected in our consistently high student performance at GCSE, progression to post-16 study at our sixth form, and then on to some of the best universities in the country.
Main Responsibilities:- To lead the improvement of teaching and learning in the subject area, ensuring high standards of achievement.
- To monitor, evaluate, and review standards and provision in the subject area.
- To collaborate with the Lead Practitioner Team to build and realise the shared vision of excellence and high standards for all students.
- To provide the Governing Body with relevant and accurate information relating to the Faculty's performance and development.
- Holds QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree, and ideally, has evidence of ongoing professional development.
- Demonstrates outstanding teaching practice and excellent behaviour management.
- Has experience of lesson observations and giving robust feedback.
- Has experience of improvement planning and implementing strategies to raise student achievement, with evidence of success.
The salary for this role is £55,000 - £66,000 per annum, depending on experience.
