Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Telecoms Testing Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for undertaking testing duties within the scope of Certificate of Competency held.

The successful candidate will have a thorough and detailed knowledge of Network Rail Telecoms Standards and good knowledge of Railway Group NWR company standards requirements. You will also have good personnel management and communication skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure during intense periods of commissioning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake testing duties within the scope of Certificate of Competency held.
  • Ensure adherence to the AtkinsRéalis rail standards, procedures, processes covering all engineering, safety, administrative and project requirements.
  • Co-operate with quality, safety, and environmental objectives and contribute where appropriate to AtkinsRéalis rail commitment for continual improvement.
  • Manage testing and commissioning of telecoms equipment to meet contract specifications, performance and safety parameters.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes, procedures, innovations and initiatives.
  • Encourage and promote the advancement of staff as a route to self-development.
  • Co-operate with performance appraisals, attend training courses, maintain IRSE logbook to an acceptable standard.
  • Progress individual knowledge and skills to promote advancement.
