**Job Description:

  • **Responsibilities:**
  • Structural steel fabrication and assembly
  • Working with high tolerances and precision
  • Lining out and marking off components
  • Interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
  • Grinding, burning, and drilling operations
  • Operating disc cutters, guillotines, and band saws
  • Arc air gouging and tack welding
  • Making molds and templates for fabrication
  • Fabrication and fitting of ventilation systems

**Requirements:**

  • **Qualifications:**
  • Qualified Fabricator with an Indentured Apprenticeship or Level 3 Modern Apprenticeship in sheet metal, structural steel, or fabrication-related disciplines
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret work instructions
  • Highly competent in hand-held and semi-automatic burning equipment
  • Experience with general workshop machinery and tools specific to fabrication
  • Experience in the marine industry, particularly with Royal Navy ships and submarines, Royal Fleet Auxiliary vessels, or large commercial ships
