Research Associate in Bayesian Non-Parametric Statistics

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Associate to join our team at The International Society for Bayesian Analysis. The successful candidate will work directly with Dr Sarah Filippi to develop statistical methodology for conditional independence testing in a Bayesian Non-Parametric framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research of high quality, independently and/or in a team, and publish in high impact journals.
  • Develop and apply Bayesian Non-Parametric statistical methods to real-world problems.
  • Collaborate with researchers in the School of Public Health and at the MRC-PHE Centre for Environment and Health.
  • Organise and prioritise own work with minimal supervision.
  • Present research with authority and coherence.

Requirements:

  • PhD in statistics, mathematics, computer science, or a closely related discipline.
  • Experience in carrying out research of high quality, independently and/or in a team.
  • Ability to exercise initiative and judgment in carrying out research tasks.
  • Creative approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to keep accurate records of research results and activity.
