Patient Services Team Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Patient Services Supervisor to join our team at Eastgate Medical Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of our Care Navigation Team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient services.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Care Navigation Team, including patient services, administrative tasks, and communication with patients and staff.
- Develop and implement team protocols, prioritizing task delegation and identifying task champions to ensure efficient workflow.
- Ensure effective communication among team members, patients, and other stakeholders, maintaining a positive and supportive work environment.
- Manage the GP and nurse appointment system, ensuring timely and efficient scheduling.
- Handle minor patient complaints and concerns, maintaining a professional and empathetic demeanor.
- Produce staff rotas, manage annual leave, and ensure adequate cover arrangements.
- Ensure compliance with practice policies and procedures, including health and safety, information governance, and equality and diversity.
- Collaborate with the Practice Manager to develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives, assessing systems and procedures to optimize performance.
- Coordinate and deliver team development, including induction, training, and performance management.
- Business administration qualification (NVQ level 3 or equivalent) or relevant experience.
- Strong organizational, administrative, and communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and IT skills, including Microsoft and email.
- Experience in patient-facing roles, handling difficult conversations, and working in a fast-paced environment.
- Desirable: experience with clinical software (EMIS Web/SystmOne/Vision) and working in primary care.
