Job Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Head of Science and Technology in leading the department and ensuring high-quality teaching and learning across all year groups.
  • Drive curriculum innovation and the use of new technologies in teaching.
  • Mentor and support other teachers in the department to develop their teaching skills and improve student outcomes.
  • Teach science and technology subjects, fostering curiosity and enthusiasm for the subject.
  • Monitor students' progress, implement effective interventions, and ensure that all students achieve their potential.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across departments to deliver cross-curricular initiatives.
  • Uphold the school's high expectations for student behaviour and academic excellence.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is required.
  • Proven experience teaching science and/or technology, with leadership or management experience preferred.
  • Strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • A passion for science and technology with a commitment to continuous improvement.
