About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Midwife to join our team at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. As a Midwife, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to women and their families during the antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal periods.

Key Responsibilities

As a Midwife, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing holistic care to women and their families, including antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care
  • Working collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to plan, implement, and review ongoing care
  • Developing and maintaining skills and knowledge in midwifery practice, including perineal suturing and other relevant clinical skills
  • Participating in the preceptorship programme for newly qualified midwives and supporting their development
  • Contributing to the development of the midwifery team and the organisation as a whole

Person Specification

We are looking for a Midwife who:

  • Is registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
  • Has a strong commitment to providing high-quality care and improving patient outcomes
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Is able to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Is flexible and able to adapt to changing circumstances
