About the Role
Sense is seeking a skilled Activity Coordinator to lead activities across our adult social care provision. This is a permanent role working 15 hours per week, with a focus on developing valuable life skills and experiences for individuals with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead activity sessions in the day centre and local community, promoting learning outcomes and a safe environment.
- Contribute to the planning, development, and implementation of sessions, ensuring a progressive approach to disability issues.
- Supervise Support Workers and provide varying levels of support with personal care tasks.
- Encourage individuals to participate in a range of activities, including educational, recreational, and leisure pursuits.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have experience in implementing activities with a focus on learning outcomes, as well as a progressive outlook on disability issues. An artistic, creative, or sporting background is desirable.
You will also possess excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills, and team working skills, with a strong awareness of disability needs and flexibility.
