About the Role

We Are With You is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Recovery Worker to join our team in North West Glasgow. As a Recovery Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals struggling with alcohol or drug use, providing a safe and non-judgmental space for them to share their experiences and develop a personalized support plan.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with clients to understand their needs and goals, and develop a tailored support plan to achieve their recovery objectives.
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions and group work sessions in outreach and community settings, promoting healthy behaviors and coping strategies.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, colleagues, and partner agencies, ensuring seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Conduct assessments and maintain accurate records of client interactions, monitoring progress and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Participate in continuous learning and professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices and research in substance misuse and recovery.

Requirements

  • SVQ level 3 in Social Services & Healthcare or equivalent qualification.
  • Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) or meeting the registration requirements.
  • Satisfactory enhanced PVG check.
  • Experience working in a health, social care, or related setting, with knowledge of delivering evidence-based interventions and group work.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships, prioritize work, and work flexibly with varying demands.
