About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Executive Assistant and Office Manager to support the Director of Digital Infrastructure at the Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC). This is a key role that requires excellent administrative skills, strong communication abilities, and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the Director of Digital Infrastructure and the wider senior team.
  • Manage sophisticated diary arrangements and prioritize meeting attendance.
  • Coordinate travel and manage expense claims.
  • Take responsibility for the office accommodation at RAL and Daresbury, including regular visits to ensure smooth operations.
  • Procure goods and services as required, process expenses, and monitor spend.
  • Be the single point of contact for department resourcing and recruitment activities with HR and UKSBS.
Person Specification
  • Previous experience of providing high-quality administrative support to senior managers.
  • Excellent ability to prioritize and plan, well-organized, and able to take initiative and work independently.
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Good interpersonal and collaborative skills, able to develop good working relationships with a broad range of people.
  • Calm, discreet, and respectful of confidentiality.
  • Excellent IT skills, including Outlook, Zoom, MS Word, Teams, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • A positive and flexible demeanor, successfully collaborating with colleagues to achieve results.
  • GCSE English and Maths Grade C and above or similar.
  • Enthusiasm to learn and develop.
