Permanent Futures has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Procurement Specialist to join a leading, global, billion £ food manufacturer who are well-known in the market for their great tasting products

Reporting to the Head of Procurement, you will work in partnership with Suppliers and Customers to accelerate financial delivery, protect the business from risk, and transform supplier-led innovation, whilst developing a world-class team.

Having an in-depth understanding of all manufacturing needs, you will work hand in hand with the Business Procurement Managers/Controllers.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Planning: Develop robust long, medium, and short-term plans and provide the group with an accurate financial forecast to enable effective business forecasting.
  2. Market Intelligence: Undertake quality market intelligence gathering to support negotiations, manage risks, and make informed sourcing decisions.
  3. Contract Management: Ensure appropriate contracts are developed to meet supplier relationship needs and adhere to company contracting policies.
  4. Supplier Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a stable and reliable supply chain.
  5. Negotiation: Negotiate overall best terms with suppliers to ensure that the supply base and product meet the necessary business objectives.

Requirements:

  1. Graduate level preferred
  2. CIPS qualification preferred
  3. Full driving license
  4. Minimum of 2 years experience working within a procurement function
  5. Highly effective communication & presentation skills
  6. Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
  7. Excellent supplier relationship management skills
  8. Strong negotiation skills, maintaining professional relationships.
