Job Title: Associate Director Environmental Consultant

Job Summary:

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an experienced Associate Director Environmental Consultant to lead our Environmental Management team in London. The successful candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of environmental technical expertise and experience in Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA). The role involves coordinating and delivering environmental work, line managing a team of environmental professionals, and championing high standards of environmental performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on the coordination and delivery of environmental work, including EIA, options appraisals, and environmental management.
  • Line manage a team of environmental professionals and liaise with Practice Management to coordinate the running of the Environmental Management team in London.
  • Responsibility for programme and commercial aspects, including budget control.
  • Champion high standards of environmental performance within multidisciplinary engineering projects and influence project development to deliver optimal environmental outcomes.
  • Manage clients' needs in a confident, professional manner, lead on bid preparation, and develop new areas of business for the team.

Requirements:

  • Degree or Masters in an environmental or science subject.
  • Chartered with relevant post-graduate experience, ideally within a consultancy environment.
  • Experience working on major infrastructure projects.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the EIA process and environmental technical expertise.
  • Experience of leadership within multidisciplinary teams, report writing, verbal and presentation skills, and ability to review the work of others to ensure quality.
