Job Summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an experienced Environmental Management Team Lead to join our UK Environment Practice in London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the coordination and delivery of environmental work, including Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), options appraisals, and environmental management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate environmental work being undertaken by multi-disciplinary teams, including EIA, options appraisals, and environmental management.
  • Line manage a team of environmental professionals and liaise with Practice Management to coordinate the running of the Environmental Management team in London.
  • Responsibility for programme and commercial aspects, including budget control.
  • Champion high standards of environmental performance within multidisciplinary engineering projects, influencing project development and delivering optimal environmental outcomes.
  • Manage clients' needs in a confident, professional manner, lead on bid preparation, and develop new areas of business for the team.
  • Undertake Continual Professional Development (CPD) in accordance with requirements of chosen professional institute, mentor, and assist with staff development.

Requirements

  • Degree or Masters in an environmental or science subject.
  • Chartered with relevant post-graduate experience (ideally within a consultancy environment).
  • Experience working on major infrastructure projects.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the EIA process and environmental technical expertise.
  • Experience of leadership within multidisciplinary teams, experience in report writing, verbal and presentation skills, and able to review the work of others to ensure quality.
