Job Description

The role of Bookkeeper involves learning a mixture of payment and receipts tasks, with an allocation of bank reconciliations to complete on a monthly basis.

  1. Data entry of purchase invoices ~50+ per day per person
  2. Creation and maintenance of supplier records
  3. Payment of supplier invoices via purchase ledger routine
  4. Input of "urgent" payments, and creation of BACS payment files ~15 per day
  5. Maintenance and input of standing invoice and standing payment records
  6. Responding to supplier and agent queries
  7. Performance of allocated bank reconciliations.
  8. Production and checking of Debtors & Creditors reports and aged analyses.
  9. Weekly reconciliation of purchase ledger clearing account

Additional responsibilities include recording and allocating daily cheque receipts ~20 per day, data entry of sales invoices ~15 per day, and review of rental information entered into Portfolio property system.

The ideal candidate will have a good level of experience within a similar position and possess good communication skills and a high level of attention to detail.
