We are currently seeking enthusiastic graduates to join our team as Teaching Assistants (TAs) and Special Educational Needs (SEN) Support staff. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience, develop your skills, and make a positive impact on students' lives.

About the role:

As a key figure in the classroom, you will work closely with students to provide personalized guidance and assistance, particularly to those with SEN. You will support the lead teacher by helping manage classroom dynamics, adapting activities to meet different learning needs, and providing both academic and emotional support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer one-to-one support and encouragement to students, helping them engage with learning tasks
  • Adapt resources and classroom activities to accommodate individual learning styles and needs
  • Assist in creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment for all students
  • Support students' social and emotional development, particularly those facing challenges
  • Observe, document, and report on student progress, collaborating with teachers and parents
  • Help maintain classroom organization and assist with lesson preparations

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in university or a recent graduate, preferably with an interest in education, psychology, or social sciences
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Empathy, patience, and a proactive approach to student support
  • Enthusiasm for learning and contributing positively in an educational setting
  • Prior experience in an educational or SEN setting is an asset but not essential
