Job Summary

This role offers an exciting opportunity for an Accredited Clinical Coder to join our professional and progressive Clinical Coding Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coding inpatient and day-case episodes across all specialties provided at Royal Devon University Healthcare Hospitals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coding inpatient and day-case episodes accurately and efficiently using ICD-10 and OPCS-4 Coding Classifications
  • Liaising with clinicians and clinical teams to verify data recorded in the Electronic Patient Record
  • Mentoring novice clinical coders and contributing to their development
  • Participating in the training and audit program for clinical coders
Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

  • Accredited Clinical Coder qualification (ACC)
  • Experience of coding across a wide range of specialties for an acute NHS trust
  • Evidence of attending a refresher course within the last three years
