Job Description:

As an Electromagnetic Design Specialist, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team working on the design and production of electric motors and generators for aerospace, defence, and oil and gas industries. You will assist in concept analysis and design trade-offs across various motor technologies.

  • Conduct electro-magnetic FE analysis and magnetic circuit calculations using software tools such as MotorCAD and Ansys Maxwell.
  • Carry out system performance (motor/controller) simulation and impact on motor design and requirements using software tools like MotorCAD.
  • Define acceptance and qualification requirements and complete testing on new and existing wound product devices.
Requirements:
  • Experience with 2D/3D FEA packages such as MotorCAD, ANSYS etc.
  • Masters or PhD in Electrical Engineering with specialisation in e-machine design.
  • Data analysis skills using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Estimated salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
