Job Title: Head of Learning Support and SENCo

Job Summary:

St Paul's Girls' School is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Learning Support and Inclusion departments. The successful candidate will play a key role in guiding the school's efforts to create an accessible and inclusive environment for all students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance staff confidence and skills in teaching students with special educational needs (SEN)
  • Oversee the development of students' skills in accessing teaching and learning
  • Lead the school community's awareness and understanding of SENs
  • Support students through key transitions, including Year 7, Year 12, and university
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of learning support programs and make recommendations for improvement

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in leading learning support and inclusion teams in a school setting
  • Strong knowledge of SEN legislation and policies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and students
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
