Job Summary

St Paul's Girls' School is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Learning Support and Inclusion Department. As the Head of Learning Support and SENCo, you will play a vital role in promoting the welfare and educational success of students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to support students with special educational needs, ensuring their inclusion and participation in all aspects of school life.
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and external specialists to provide high-quality support and resources for students with SEND.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of our SEND provision, making recommendations for improvement and development.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure seamless support and transition for students with SEND.
  • Lead and manage the Learning Support and Inclusion Department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality support services and resources.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in leading and managing teams, with a strong track record of promoting inclusion and supporting students with SEND.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and external partners.
  • Strong knowledge of SEND legislation, policies, and procedures, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical and effective way.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meet the changing needs of the school and its students.
