About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Domestic Support Specialist to join our team at Summerhill Services Limited. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional cleaning and maintenance services to our facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • General Cleaning and Maintenance
    • Responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout our facilities.
    • Utilize mechanical and electrical cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
    • Collect and safely remove paper waste and recyclables.
    • Provide pantry and kitchen duties, including clearing and washing up.
    • Perform specialist cleaning tasks as required.
    • Ensure the safe storage and maintenance of cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Individual Responsibilities
    • Engage in the appraisal process to identify personal development and training needs.
    • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection policies.
    • Conduct oneself in a professional manner towards colleagues and other agencies.
    • Assist in the introduction of new staff under the guidance of the Domestic Supervisor.
    • Read, understand, and comply with relevant policies and procedures.
    • Contribute to the service and organizational aims and objectives.
    • Undertake ad-hoc duties as required by the Domestic Supervisor.
    • Aware of and follow policies related to safeguarding children, vulnerable adults, and infection control.

Requirements

  • Essential
    • Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with a range of people.
    • Able to complete necessary paperwork and follow work schedules with minimal supervision.
    • Able to use a variety of cleaning machines and move light furniture as part of cleaning duties.
    • Able to identify pressing tasks and maintain high cleaning standards.
    • Flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances.
  • Desirable
    • Previous experience in cleaning and maintenance, preferably in a customer-focused environment.
    • Knowledge of COSHH regulations and infection control procedures.
