Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Estate Maintenance Specialist to join our team in Salford. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and safety of our residential estates.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Cleaning and Grounds Maintenance: Maintain high-quality cleaning and grounds maintenance services, ensuring communal areas are clean, tidy, safe, and well-maintained.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate machines, equipment, and vehicles, reporting any faults or defects to the Team Leader/Manager.
  • Preparation of Homes: Assist in preparing homes for letting by carrying out gardening work, removing furniture and rubbish, and undertaking small repairs and painting.
  • Waste Management: Support an enhanced recycling agenda, manage waste systems, order and fill skips, empty and rotate bins, and unblock chutes as needed.
  • Recycling Promotion: Promote recycling awareness among customers and the public, providing guidance on proper disposal practices.
Requirements:
  • A Full Manual UK Driving License is required for this role.
  • You should have practical experience cleaning or caretaking and working knowledge of cleaning and caretaking equipment.
  • Excellent customer service skills are essential, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A good standard of literacy and numeracy is required for accurate record keeping.

We offer a competitive salary of £23,088 per annum, 27 days holiday (rising to 32 over 5 years' service) + bank holidays, and a flexible working environment with a range of family-friendly policies. You will be based out of our Salford depot and work 37 hours per week.
