Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Psychologist 2 to join our team at the New York State Central New York Psychiatric Center- Adirondack Satellite Unit. As a member of our treatment team, you will perform complex psychological evaluations, develop and implement treatment plans, and provide technical direction to program staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations to assess mental health needs
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address mental health issues
  • Provide technical direction and supervision to program staff
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient progress
  • Write reports and present findings to treatment teams
Requirements

To be eligible for this position, you must have a master's degree in psychology from a regionally accredited college or university, and two years of supervised post-master's degree psychology experience. A doctoral degree in clinical psychology may be substituted for two years of post-master's degree experience. You must also have experience in a clinical, community mental health, or forensic setting, and be able to administer assessments and tests for diagnostic psychological evaluations, develop behavior support plans, and provide psychological counseling and treatment.

Additionally, you must be able to work independently and as part of a treatment team, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You must also be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
