We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Psychologist 2 to join our team at the New York State Central New York Psychiatric Center- Adirondack Satellite Unit. As a member of our treatment team, you will perform complex psychological evaluations, develop and implement treatment plans, and provide technical direction to program staff.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations to assess individuals, groups, and families
- Develop and implement treatment plans to address mental health issues
- Provide technical direction to program staff on psychological services
- Maintain accurate records and write reports
- Act as a program administrator and supervise subordinate staff
To be eligible for this position, you must have a master's degree in psychology from a regionally accredited college or university, with a clinical psychology practicum, externship, or clinical fieldwork. You must also have two years of supervised post-master's degree psychology experience, or a doctoral degree in clinical psychology. Additionally, you must be able to administer assessments and tests for diagnostic psychological evaluations, develop behavior support plans, and provide psychological counseling and treatment in areas such as mental and/or emotional disorders, cognitive disorders, behavioral disorders, and more.
Please note that experience in experimental psychology, research psychology, industrial psychology, organizational psychology, health psychology, utilization review, guidance counseling, and other non-qualifying fields will not be considered. You must also be able to pass a background check and maintain a valid New York State license to practice as a psychologist.
