Clinical Psychologist

As a Psychologist 2 with the New York State, you will be part of a dynamic treatment team responsible for providing high-quality psychological services to individuals, groups, and families. Your expertise will be invaluable in developing and implementing treatment plans, conducting behavioral assessments, and providing technical direction to program staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive psychological evaluations to identify treatment needs and develop individualized plans.
Conduct behavioral assessments to inform treatment decisions and develop behavior support plans.
Provide technical direction to program staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of client interactions and treatment progress.
Write reports to document client progress and treatment outcomes.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must have a master's degree in psychology from a regionally accredited college or university, with a clinical psychology practicum, externship, or clinical fieldwork experience. You must also have two years of supervised post-master's degree psychology experience, with a focus on administering assessments and tests, developing behavior support plans, and providing psychological counseling and treatment. If you have a doctoral degree in clinical psychology, it may be substituted for two years of post-master's degree experience. Additionally, you must be able to bill through Medicaid and Medicare, and maintain the necessary certifications and licenses to practice as a psychologist in the state of New York.
