Technical Program Manager, Subsea Marine Specialist

This is a key role in the Technical Program Management team at oilandgas, providing technical and commercial knowledge to manage new build projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert guidance on marine survey and installation aspects of subsea cable projects.
  • Evaluate cable route designs by leading route working groups, analyzing survey data and fault histories, and conducting risk assessments.
  • Ensure high-quality delivery of marine installation procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assume project management responsibilities for complete subsea cable systems.
  • Develop thought leadership and forward-looking recommendations for survey and installation technologies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in program management.
  • At least 3 years of experience in cable route engineering, survey, and marine installation methods and technologies.
  • Experience with vendor management and logistics.
  • Knowledge of network infrastructure planning, including fiber optic systems or submarine cables.
  • Experience working on cable ships or survey vessels.
  • Ability to analyze cable installation data to identify anomalies and assess installation quality.
  • Knowledge of Geographic Information System (GIS) systems or Makai products.
