Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrical and Wiring Build Specialist to join our team at Owen Daniels. As a key member of our precision engineering team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining, servicing, and testing wiring and electrical assemblies, including basic wiring harnesses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development of assembly procedures and promote best practices in our high-tech manufacturing environment.
  • Ensure full compliance with health and safety protocols and regulations as outlined in our Health & Safety Policy in both standard High Voltage areas.
  • Build prototype assemblies prior to full release, from cell level, up to whole pack level, utilizing your expertise in fabrication and machining.
  • Complete build records and all other relevant documentation during the build process, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Take ownership of the product and assemblies while working both on and offsite, demonstrating a high level of professionalism and accountability.
Requirements:
  • Good understanding of fabrication and machining principles.
  • Able to interpret and understand engineering drawings, including schematics.
  • Experience in diagnostic and fault finding on mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Ideal experience working with tier 1 suppliers in the automotive sector.
  • Fault finding and testing of high voltage batteries.
