Learning Support Professional Wanted

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Professional to join our team at Academics Ltd in Ware. This role offers a chance to make a positive difference in the lives of young learners.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to lead small groups, deliver pre-planned lessons, and provide targeted interventions to support student progress and attainment. In addition, they will assist in planning, preparing, and assessing learning activities to ensure they are engaging, inclusive, and aligned with the school's curriculum objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead small group interventions to support students' learning and development.
  • Deliver pre-planned lessons under the guidance of teaching staff, ensuring effective curriculum delivery.
  • Provide individualised support to students with additional needs, including SEN and EAL learners.
  • Assist in the planning, preparation, and assessment of learning activities, adapting teaching methods to meet diverse student needs.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support the school's safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the welfare and safety of all students.

Requirements:

  • A Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) qualification or equivalent experience in a similar role within a primary school setting.
  • A strong understanding of primary curriculum frameworks and teaching strategies.
  • An ability to engage and motivate students, fostering a love for learning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork.
  • Adaptability and resilience to meet the varying needs and challenges of a primary school environment.
