About the Role


We're seeking a skilled Pastry Chef De Partie to join our team at DO & CO Airline Catering. As a Pastry Chef De Partie, you will be responsible for working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, producing high-quality pastry products, and leading a team to ensure consistent quality and adherence to DO & CO standards.



  • Manage and coordinate the production, preparation, and presentation of pastry items in adherence to menu specifications.
  • Lead a team of pastry chefs, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
  • Partner with the Head Pastry Chef and Sous Chefs to develop and implement new menu ideas, improve existing products, and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Work closely with the kitchen brigade to maintain an inclusive team environment, promoting communication, collaboration, and respect among team members.
  • Take ownership of a section within the production kitchen, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Prepare and bake dishes to exact specifications, ensuring that they meet DO & CO's high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Maintain accurate records of production, sales, and inventory, providing valuable insights to inform business decisions.
  • Develop and implement processes to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality, contributing to the success of the team and the company.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies, applying this knowledge to improve the team's performance and contribute to the company's growth.

Requirements



  • Previous experience as a Pastry Chef De Partie working on multiple sections.
  • Impressive knife skills and a strong understanding of pastry production techniques.
  • Able to communicate effectively in English and work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Confident working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and able to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Able to lead and motivate a team, providing guidance and support to ensure they reach their full potential.
  • Flexible in regards to work availability, with the ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Right to work in the UK.
