Main Responsibilities:- Conduct assessments and provide advice on moving and handling, including the provision of hoists and slings.
- Assess and provide specialist equipment, such as beds, shower/bath seats, and toileting aids, to support daily activities.
- Carry out minor adaptations, including door widening, grab rails, and safety measures, to ensure safe access for children.
- Assess and provide home adaptations, including through-floor lifts, ceiling track hoists, and level access showers, to facilitate wheelchair access.
- Conduct housing needs assessments to support social housing applications and identify specific access needs for children.
- Attend child in need and safeguarding meetings, working closely with social workers and the multidisciplinary team.
- Minimum 2 years' experience working as a Children's Occupational Therapist in the community.
- Experienced Adult Social Care OT required with a minimum of 2 years' experience.
- Specialist OT service to children with neuromuscular, genetic, or profound developmental disabilities.
- Experienced OT with expertise in assessing and providing major adaptations, such as ramps and stairlifts, and manual handling equipment.
- Essential: Understanding of Major Adaptations.
- Manual handling experience.
- HCPC Registration.
- Enhanced DBS/CRB (can be obtained for you).
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Occupational Therapist Qualification.
