Vickerstock is excited to partner with a leading food manufacturing company in the meat industry, where integrity and trust are at the heart of the business. We are seeking a Technical Account Manager to join our team at the Dungannon site.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a key technical contact between customer technical departments, managing information related to food safety, quality, and legality, as well as customer brand standards, technical business plans, and associated projects.
  • Manage all relevant raw material, product specifications, and Quality Attribute Sheets for related products.
  • Work as part of a customer-facing team with commercial and NPD contacts to develop customer accounts.
  • Manage and communicate relevant technical KPIs to the business and relevant customers.
  • Manage and communicate relevant technical business plans and projects.
  • Utilize and control data on relevant customer information management systems, including shelf-life, raw material specs, relevant risk assessments, and other due diligence information.
  • Conduct product checks and inspections, reporting accordingly to ensure products meet customer specifications.
  • Deal with non-conformances and work with management to initiate corrective actions.
  • Review artwork in advance of product launches to ensure labels are complete, accurate, legal, meeting customer, technical, and operational requirements.
  • Maintain and update relevant retail price lists and communicate such to the business.
  • Participate in site Allergen Management Programme, ensuring raw materials align with customer, company, and legal requirements, as well as risk assessments and record-keeping.
  • Collect and analyze data on relevant key performance indicators, such as customer complaints, store complaints, sales, and manage complaints reduction programme with site management, reporting accordingly.
Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience in a related customer-facing technical role in the food industry.
  • Minimum of a HND in food science, food technology, or a related discipline.
  • Full clean driving license.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the red meat supply chain/quality assurance and UK retailer industry, with preference given to candidates with previous experience in dealing with major UK multiples.
  • Willingness to travel to customer meetings, other sites, and retail stores throughout the UK and Ireland.
Desirable Criteria:
  • Experience with HACCP, Allergen Management systems, and food labeling is a definite advantage.
