About Transputec

Transputec is a leading Information Technology Services and Solutions company with over 30 years of experience in delivering innovative IT solutions and exceptional customer service. Our company was founded by two computer science students from Imperial College, who developed applications for the banking industry and later expanded to provide full IT services. We value flexibility, quality, and agility, which enables us to quickly adapt to our clients' needs, whether they are enterprises or small/medium-sized organizations.

Internship Overview

This internship is designed to provide practical hands-on experience for the candidate. They will have the opportunity to join a project at the initial implementation stage to assess potential risks or be brought on board when testing becomes a critical requirement.

  • Collaborate with software developers and project support teams;
  • Monitor applications and software systems;
  • Conduct stress testing;
  • Perform performance testing;
  • Carry out functional testing;
  • Conduct scalability testing;
  • Write and execute test scripts;
  • Run manual and automated tests;
  • Test in different environments, including web and mobile;
  • Write bug reports;
  • Work towards departmental and project deadlines;
  • Ensure quality assurance;
  • Provide objective feedback to software development project teams;
  • Design tests to mitigate risk;
  • Present findings to software development and business user teams;
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Analyze documents;
  • Liaise with project teams worldwide;
  • Communicate findings to technical and non-technical colleagues.

Our internship programs typically last 6 months, and where possible, interns can work from home (UK or international). We are flexible with work location, but work hours are usually aligned with UK time (9am to 6pm). We also consider interns taking a year out between studies as part of their degree or postgraduate. Not all internships are paid, and the selection process may involve multiple interviews.
