As a Junior IT Technician at Yorwaste Ltd, you will be responsible for providing technical support to the team as the first point of contact for all technical queries and issues. This permanent, full-time position involves working closely with the IT team to identify and implement process improvements, developing and maintaining a comprehensive understanding of our technology infrastructure, and troubleshooting and resolving technical issues promptly and professionally.

Job Details
  • A competitive salary of £25,383 per year
  • Sociable hours, working Monday to Friday, usually 8:30am until 5:00pm
  • 20 days' annual leave per year (plus bank holidays)
Responsibilities
  • Support Windows desktops and laptops, handle mobile devices on iOS and Android, and use Microsoft 365 products
  • Work collaboratively with the IT team to improve processes and develop technical skills
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of technical incidents and resolutions

This role requires GCSEs in English (Grade 5 / C, or above), Maths (Grade 4 / C, or above), plus an IT subject, a UK Drivers Licence, and the ability to travel to our sites in North Yorkshire. Over the age of 16, with valid residency status and the right to work in the UK.
