Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Class Teacher in both the classroom and outdoor environments, providing help with learning tasks and feeding back on progress made.
  • Encourage students to take responsibility for their own learning and self-care, promoting development of self-esteem and a healthy, active lifestyle.
  • Implement literacy and numeracy programmes, as well as intervention groups, to support pupil progress.
  • As a member of the Mealtime Assistant team, ensure pupil safety and promote good behaviour in all areas of the school, including classrooms, playgrounds, and dining rooms.

Requirements:

  • A good standard of English and Maths.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to take direction and use initiative, with patience, positivity, and a commitment to inclusion.
  • Commitment to ensuring the very best for our pupils.
  • Ability to support colleagues, use positive behaviour management strategies, and contribute to the school's excellent provision for all pupils.

About the Role:

This role requires a DBS disclosure and the ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English. Online searches may be done as part of pre-recruitment checks. The role is also subject to references, evidence of right to work in the UK, qualification check, and medical screening.
