Job Summary:
We are seeking an exceptional Teaching Assistant to join our team at The Erme Primary School, part of the Moorsway Federation. This role will require the ability to support pupils from EYFS to Year 6, providing high-quality interactions and helping to move children's learning forward.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Class Teacher in both the classroom and outdoor environments, providing help with learning tasks and feeding back on progress made.
- Encourage students to take responsibility for their own learning and self-care, promoting development of self-esteem and a healthy, active lifestyle.
- Implement literacy and numeracy programmes, as well as intervention groups, to support pupil progress.
- As a member of the Mealtime Assistant team, ensure pupil safety and promote good behaviour in all areas of the school, including classrooms, playgrounds, and dining rooms.
Requirements:
- A good standard of English and Maths.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to take direction and use initiative, with patience, positivity, and a commitment to inclusion.
- Commitment to ensuring the very best for our pupils.
- Ability to support colleagues, use positive behaviour management strategies, and contribute to the school's excellent provision for all pupils.
About the Role:
This role requires a DBS disclosure and the ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English. Online searches may be done as part of pre-recruitment checks. The role is also subject to references, evidence of right to work in the UK, qualification check, and medical screening.
